Political Party: Republican

Early Life: Talyn Gilbertson, was born and raised in Valley Oaks, Winona, Minn. Gilbertson has four siblings, two half and two full. Gilbertson gained an interest in reading at an early age; his favorite series is the Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney. Gilbertson’s preferred class in school is, maths, which has always come easy to him.

Personal Life: Gilbertson has many different interests, particularly athletics. Gilbertson is an avid basketballer and track runner. The Polish culture in Winona is special for Gilbertson, as he claims Polish and Eastern European ancestry. Gilbertson has many aspirations in his life after high school.  The University of Wisconsin -Eau-Claire, University of Wisconsin -Steven’s Point, and lastly Northwestern University are among Gilbertson’s college prospects. The  Iowa Hawkeyes are Gilbertson’s favorite team. Gilbertson is also involved in choir and show choir. Gilbertson would one day like to travel to Australia because he once had a grade school classmate who was from there and liked the dialect.
