Science Fair projects impress crowd
There were constant stream of questions, photos, and smiles as students, parents, grandparents and teachers flowed through the annual junior high science fair.
Wednesday, February 1, Mrs. Drazkowski’s 7th and 8th grade students displayed and explained their science projects in the lobby of the John Nett Rec. Center.
The Chronicle staff had a chance to see the exhibits and speak to some of the young scientists.

project question – Which wood is most water resistant?
“I tested 74 pieces of wood from different types of trees to see how much water they would absorb. I put strips of different wood in a bucket of water over a weekend and weighed them before and after. I found that pine is the best wood for outside use, because it soaked up the leastt water and cedar soaked up the most.”
