Dating advice for beginners
According to questia.com “Dating is the social custom for two people to form relationship based on mutual attraction as a prerequisite for marriage, if desired. For high school-age people, dating is usually part of the socialization process that accompanies adolescence and sexual maturation. The motivations for high school-aged people to date are largely exploratory. Relationships are characterized by emotional bonding based on each partner’s material perceptions of each other”. This research was a gate way for this news article.
Dating in high school said by some people is pointless and shouldn’t happen but others disagree. Most people say dating is high school helps people get more comfortable with dating. But all of this has to start someplace . What better than their first date. the first date kinda sets the tone for the whole relationship. I asked two types of people questions. People who are single and people who are in a relationship. I interviewed 5 couples and about ten singles and narrowed it down by the best answers and best tips for what to do on first date. The answers varied from couple to couple. After doing some serious research I came up with the best advice from the videos I recorded, online sources, and books.
Dating advice 1. Consider dating your friends. Hunter and Caitlin said they have been best friends for four years before they started dating. The term friend zone should totally be banished—in part, because your friends can sometimes make the best dates. Think about it Someone you’re already friends with is likely to have similar values, to know your background and your family, and to make you feel ultra comfortable with them. Having that bond established can be key, says relationship expert Jane Greer, Ph.D., author of What About Me? Stop Selfishness From Ruining Your Relationship.
Dating advice 2. Be yourself. You want some one who likes you for who you are not your ego. Too many boys and girls these days try to be people they are not to try to date people who are out of there league or just try to be people the other persons want. Now I am not saying not to impress her. You can impress her with your own qualities and talents. If you like her you shouldn’t be afraid to be your self around her she will like you for who you are.
Dating advise 3. Don’t come on too strong. If you just get a girls number or snap chat don’t just keep chatting and chatting on and on non stop. Let the girl look at your text and react. Dating should be slowed down in my opinion because dating happens so fast. If you see someone on Facebook that you wanna date don’t just go liking every single photo and text her saying she is so hot. You may think that your complicating her but she is probably think your creepy and probably gonna gossip at school.
Dating advice 4. Be open. Be open to new ideas or comments. The only issue of being open is you can get very personal and creep the girl out. This ties in with not coming on too strong be open but not too open. You should tell her about yourself but not too much until you get deep into a relationship. Always keep a open mind . Make sure you always speak the truth. If you want your partner to speak the truth you must speak the truth. Tell her about yourself and your likes and dislikes. Be flexible with her. If she doesn’t appear to be your type keep a open mind maybe she just has opened up to you yet. Mr or Mrs right may come to you in all different shapes and sizes you just have to break the first wall and you get to truly see herself for who she really is.
Dating advice 5. Have fun. This is the most important thing of dating. My most favorite quote is from Hunter and Caitlin’s interview. “Always have fun, Laugh, and make sure you enjoy each other”. In my personal opinion that is the most healthy couple at cotter. Whenever I hung out with them they are always smiling and having a good time. I believe they are having a good relation ship and always having fun is because they were best friends for four years before dating. The best way to have fun is too let go of all expectations, let go of your ego, be yourself, and do something active. You cant have fun if you just sit down on your phone and text her. Go mini golfing, make cookies, go swimming be active.
Dating is just like the one ring from Lord of the Rings if you get it its the greatest thing you can ever get but if you get too greedy and selfish someone else will take it or it will be thrown into a lava pit and you will possibly lose a finger. Once you find the right girl or guy you want to hold on to them and never let go but give them space if you have too.
