Marisa Anderson: listening for the heart of the song
Marisa Anderson interviewed by the members of White Noise, Joe Costello, Macrae Hopkins and Jack Leidel, after her performance at the MidWest Music Fest store on April 19, 2016.
Anderson is based out of Portland, Oregon, and was in Winona on the Midwestern portion of a nationwide solo tour.
Anderson’s music is described as follows in her biography on her website:

Anderson used no vocals in her set but gave engaging, introductions to each song that included notes on the history of the folk songs she played and moments of inspiration or personal experience connected to her original compositions.
