Taff Roberts: Not too old to boldly go
Annie Galke and Mikaela Mohr interview Taff Roberts about his film Attempting the Northwest Passage prior to its showing at the Frozen River Film Festival.
The FRFF guide had this to say about the film: ” In August of 2014 Hywel Taff Roberts and his shipmates attempted sailing from Pond Inlet, Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic to Nome, Alaska. Their voyage took them westward along Lancaster Sound to Beechey Island where the Franklin Expedition wintered over in 1845-1846. Due to heavy ice conditions this year they were not able to navigate through the passages. For three weeks they navigated their sailing vessel Catryn back through the Davis Straight down the rugged coast of Baffin Island and Labrador to Newfoundland.”
