Once again, the Cotter track team is sending worthy contenders to this year’s subsection meet.

Any runner has a chance to move on to the section meet as long as they place in the top 3 or they meet section standard time.  This year’s team, filled with young runners, has proven to continue Cotter’s rich tradition in the track and field department.

When asked about this year’s squad, senior runner Cora Arnold had this to say, “We have a lot more strong individual participants this year than we have had in the past.”

In the past, Cotter has had many runners move on to the section meet.  For Arnold, this tradition will continue: “I think that a lot of people will move on to the section meet.”

Arnold has set a goal for herself, to win the mile.

The subsection meet starts tonight at 5:00 at Caledonia.
