Mac’s March Madness Bracket Challenge Returns

For the seventh consecutive year, Mac Whaley will be heading the “Battle for Bloedows” March Madness bracket challenge.

This year promises to be the best yet, considering the participation in the challenge has doubled. The increase in participation is due to Selection Sunday not coinciding with Cotter’s spring break.

“The last two years our numbers really went down,” said  Whaley. “We’re already seeing higher participation and we have a week remaining on the sign-up.”

The challenge is simple…

  • Fill out an NCAA Division I Men’s Tournament Bracket
  • Turn it the bracket in to Mac Whaley by March 17 at noon.
  • Brackets may not be altered or changed in any way after March 17 at 12pm.
  • Person with the most points at the end of the tournament wins. Points increase with each round, so the later in the tournament the more heavily weighted the game.
  • Top 10 people receive Bloedows doughnuts, while the winner gets to pick their favorite kind of doughnut.

“Feel free to contact me at anytime,” says Whaley. You can submit your bracket by email to [email protected] or hand your bracket in to him at school in person or in locker #356.  Sunday, March 15 is selection Sunday when brackets will be announced.
