Cantus choir performs at Cotter
The men’s choral ensemble Cantus performed on Monday, April 4, at Cotter and also led a workshop with the Cotter high school and junior high choirs.
Based in the Twin Cities, they are one of the only ensembles that employs musicians full-time for concerts around the United States and the world. According to their website, Cantus has won numerous awards, including the Education Outreach award and 3 Chorus America awards.
The Cotter choir and community were fortunate to hear them sing beautiful pieces in many languages and styles, and their comments during the workshop were very helpful to the students.
