Sr. Judy returned to Cotter to present to Mrs. Hansel-Parlin’s religion class.

Sr. Judith Schaefer, Cotter’s former president, returned to school to lead a lesson in Mrs. Hansel-Parlin’s religion class on Friday, February 25.

Sister Judy talked about the 7 themes of Catholic social teaching and, as the season of Lent is starting, how we can incorporate these theories and ideas to live them out. Sister Judy talked to the juniors who are currently taking CST (Catholic Social Teaching) or Social Justice class.

“I think it was just fun to see Sister Judy and the students together again because she really loves us, and I miss her and her presence here. I can say the same things to my students but we have guest speakers, videos, and other things so that you can hear the same ideas from a variety of voices, ” Mrs. Hansel-Parlin said.
