On January 9 and 10, about 1,000 choir students from all around the Midwest are invited to attend the Dorian honor choir Festival, held at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Students are nominated by their choir teacher, and out of this pool 1,000 students from the Midwest are chosen to attend.

This year, 3 sopranos from Cotter were chosen; Cecilia Galke, Megan Morgan, and Elise Modjeski. But like other choral events during Covid, the Dorian Festival was canceled, possibly pushed forward into the springtime when Covid-19 cases are (hopefully) lower.
