Cotter Senior Connor Yocum was named All Three Rivers Honorable Mention and to the Winona Daily News 2nd team all-area.

Connor led the boys team in point per game with 12.5 points, along with a 43% shooting percentage from 3 and 45% from the floor.

¨Connor is without a doubt, our best offensive player, he tends to be a tough matchup for teams because of his ability to score with his back to the basket, take his man to the hoop,  or knock down the 3,¨ said head coach T.J. Lowe.

Connor is often the focus for opposing teams, so to continue to score nearly 13 points per game in conference play, is pretty outstanding,” Lowe added.

Yocum ended his career with around 950 points and was a shoo-in to break 1,000 until the pandemic shortened the season.

Connor plans on attending St. Marys University to study sports management.

“I’m specifically proud that I was chosen for honorable mention and to be featured for breakdown sports,” Yocum said of his season.
