Cotter’s hockey’s first senior 40 years

Illya Dovhalionok

Ilya Dovhalionok, a current senior at Cotter, has played hockey for many years in various countries.

Since Cotter started a hockey program this year, for the first time since 1980, he has the chance to  play  for his school, even though it’s his senior year. He previously played in several high school teams, including two years on the co-op team with Winona Senior High.

“The team is well-managed and has players who are full of potential and  that are motivated to become the best hockey players they can be, ” Ilya said.

He has a lot of confidence in the Cotter team, and thinks it will grow in the several years and become better and better. Despite the fact that he will be graduating and not be here, he is still happy to be a part of Cotter’s sports history.
