Cotter Student Council: problem solving as a team

The Cotter Student Council is the team of 9th-12th grade students who work behind the scenes to put on school dances, talent shows, blood drives, and much more. The Council meets during Flex A to discuss student concerns, and work as a team to solve the problems ahead.

Student Council is directed and advised by Anna Koopman. The student leaders are Emily Tullis (president), Ella Riley (vice-president), and Vivienne Warner (secretary).

Here is a list of what the student council has done this year!

  • Planned and ran Cotter Homecoming & Pep Fest
  • Chose a student council room
  • Set a record for Blood Drive! 47 PINTS
  • Brought new apparel into Cotter (Hats and Socks!)
  • Had a very successful 10 Days of Giving! 822 items!
  • Helped Celebrate Finals Week
  • Christmas Caroled! w/ hot chocolate and cookies
  • Organized the Winterfest Dance and Pep Fest
  • Lead and Organized a Talent Show
