Rambler girls hoping to build on success.

There is a lot of optimism going into the girls basketball season.

Last year the girls, under coach Pat Bowlin,  had a record of 18-8. This year’s team looks to build on that success as they only lost one starter,  Josie Huelskamp.

Their first game is on Friday, November 23 at Benilde-St.Margaret’s.

Key returning players: include senior guard Isabel Northrop, junior guard Mary Morgan and junior forward Jordan Rubie.

“We are hoping to have a successful season. We know that there will be ups and downs, but hopefully by the end of the season we will be playing at our full potential,” Rubie said.

“We are really working hard these first two weeks. Conditioning is huge for our team because we want to out run every opponent. We have two early games at St. Thomas over Thanksgiving break which will be helpful to see how the team works together. We are all very excited for the season. There is also a lot of potential for this team, but we have to show up everyday and every game in order to be successful,” Morgan said.
