Freshman chill at the Poetry Cafe
Where have all the beatniks gone? To freshman English class, of course.
On Friday, freshmen in Miss Shriver’s English 9 class participated in the “Poetry Cafe”.
The students went up in front of their classmates and read their original poems out loud.
“It was our end of the poetry unit celebration and a day of rest and fun before the chaos of finals,” Miss Shriver said.
“I always look forward to seeing students get creative and be able to take a step outside of their normal comfort zone. It is a great way to wrap up the school year.”
