Viva Graff participates in Concordia College honor band

Cotter sophomore, Viva Graff, participated in the Concordia College Honor Band over a weekend in April.

The Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) Honor Band took place on April 6-8, and included the best high school musicians from North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Montana.

The guest conductor for the honor band was James M. Stephenson, a composer from the Chicago area. The honor band premiered his piece called “Trench Coat.”

Graff described the experience as “awesome.”

When asked about her favorite parts of the weekend, she responded “playing with four other bassoons” and “meeting people from all over the place, who were really nice.”
