Not Just Another School Play

Not Just Another School Play

For this year’s spring play, a compilation of eight  different, commonly produced, dramas were blended together with comedic results for Cotter students and family members.

The  cast, directed by Mr. Mark Roeckers, performed the show last Friday and Saturday- and left the audience captivated and laughing in their seats.

“When I read the script, I thought this play would be confusing, but it’s actually really funny!” Calli Marg said right before the first performance.

Rosie Flannagan, stage director, and Tristan Penic, assistant director, bring the audience between acts- from Little Women to A Christmas Carol to Romeo and Juliet.

Each act spoofed a theatrical classic and made it their own creation.  Tristan acts as the antagonist, “interrupting” the performance periodically.

“I really enjoyed working with our cast to put this production together,” Ben Gabrych said “they’re like my family.”

The audience was small but very engaged, laughing throughout the performance.

Stephanie Roberton ran the sound and lights from the sound booth.   Julia Charron and Kaitlyn Carlson worked as tech crew for the show.
