Halloween blood drive draws solid response

Paige Stalislawski donates to the Halloween blood drive

Cotter’s first blood drive of the year fell, appropriately enough,  on Halloween.

The drive attracted 46 people to donate to local blood banks.

Cotter usually hosts two blood drive per year. The goal for this  drive is 47 pints with hopes of receiving a large amount of type O negative.

O negative is the true universal blood which is most needed.  After giving blood, the blood travels on ice to the American Red Cross Association lab in St. Paul, Minnesota.
